About the role

The Individual Giving & Legacies Fundraising team designs and delivers memorable fundraising experiences that raises millions of pounds and turns one-time donors into lifetime supporters. This role will contribute to our purpose by managing the delivery of fundraising activity and and creating a great supporter experience for our donors, ensuring our supporters are at the heart of everything we do.   

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you'll be empowered to manage a portfolio of fundraising activities in a supportive environment and will also contribute to the longer-term income growth plans of your team. You will be insight-led and make decisions on planning, delivery and budgets to ensure you deliver inspiring marketing and stewardship activities and achieve your targets.  

Alongside your day-to-day duties, you will line manage one Fundraising Officer upskilling, trusting and empowering them to deliver activities and provide an excellent supporter experience. You will be supported to develop your leadership skills and manage their performance to ensure objectives are met.  

You will play a pivotal role in the Individual Giving, Legacies & In Memory Fundraising team reaching and exceeding their target of circa £11.5 million income in 2025/26.

About you
  • You are a strong communicator, able to convey your vision, goals, ideas and issues to team members and stakeholders 
  • You are able to form strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders 
  • You are a confident manager who can oversee and coordinate tasks as well as motivate and encourage the team 
  • You have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks 
  • You are comfortable creating project timelines and holding others to account in meeting deadlines 
  • You are adaptable, flexible, and open to doing things differently 
  • You have decision-making abilities that benefit long term goals 
Key accountabilities
  1. You will take ownership for the operational delivery of fundraising activities. Your decisions will impact the achievement of monthly KPI's and yearly targets and help inform long term strategic direction. 
  2. You are accountable for the management, performance and development of a Fundraising officer to deliver yearly fundraising activities. 
  3. You will manage internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to achieve yearly fundraising activities.
