Working within the Data Protection, Internal Audit, and Compliance team, this role will be pivotal in supporting the delivery of our strategic aims and ensuring our projects are safe, legal, and compliant. We are here to make sure we can demonstrate the highest quality standards to our supporters, beneficiaries, donors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
The Procurement Manager will lead on overseeing and managing procurement activities across national Mind. This is a wide-ranging role requiring excellent communication and negotiation abilities to facilitate support all teams across Mind.
The post holder will:
- Establish a robust procurement strategy and identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes, improve efficiency, and enhance value.
- Develop and manage end-to-end procurement against agreed procurement pipelines and policy.
- Prepare and manage the tender documents for competitive processes and determine the best procurement route for given requirements.
- Manage suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure optimal efficacy and value.
- Conduct financial cost and regulatory analysis of tender responses and support additional ad hoc evaluations.
- Support the organisation in planning and mobilising new contracts as well as monitoring performance of existing contracts.
- Monitor procurement compliance by conducting audits of procurement activity against policies and procedures in conjunction with the Internal Audit manager or as required.
- Produce regular and ad hoc progress reports, provide recommendations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support stakeholders to identify key cost drivers for their requirements and help develop the most appropriate models to access the supply markets.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the procurement process, including ethical, compliant, and sustainable sourcing practices.
- Undertake any and all other reasonable and related tasks associated with this role.
