About the team

We have big goals over the next few years.

We're going to be fighting for mental health in a way we never have before.

Together we'll be working to make sure everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets the support and respect they deserve.

Team information

Will you join us?

Mind's Corporate Partnerships team plays a vital role in supporting this aim by creating and nurturing impactful corporate partnerships so that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

We've had the privilege to deliver a number of exciting and impactful partnerships including Allianz, Bupa, Co-op, Direct Line, ITV, McLaren Racing, and McVitie's, to name just a few. We work with companies across a range of sectors, including retail, finance, and construction. Our partnerships cover the spectrum of partnership types; strategic and Charity of the Year partnerships (COTYs) and brand and commercial partnerships.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the strategy and delivery of our Added Value programme which includes pro bono, volunteering, and gift in kind (GIK).

Working closely with corporate partners and colleagues across Mind, you will identify and secure opportunities that deliver value to Mind beyond income and support successful delivery and project management.

You'll be responsible for the line management of a Corporate Partnerships Officer and support and coach this team member to achieve their objectives.

You'll be accountable for securing added value activities and gift in kind donations of £1.8m in value and a financial target of £200,000 in support of the Corporate Partnerships team's ambition to raise £7 million in 2024-25.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced corporate partnership manager. You'll be self-motivated, a creative and strategic thinker, an excellent relationship manager, and highly organised in managing a varied workload.

Key duties and responsibilities

The post holder will:

  • Develop and deliver our Added Value programme to maximise pro bono, skilled volunteering and GIK from our corporate partners.
  • Provide excellent relationship management to corporate partners and companies who provide Added Value.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate partners to achieve £200,000 income.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of Added Value opportunities – working across Mind (National Mind, Local Minds, and Mind Retail) to identify strategic projects that could benefit from corporate support.
  • Lead or support the end-to-end delivery of Added Value projects with corporate partners and ensure objectives are met.
  • Improve processes for identifying, assessing managing and evaluating Added Value projects with our corporate partners.
  • Regular monitoring and risk management of Added Value targets and objectives.
  • Provide person-centred line management to 1 x Corporate Partnerships Officer, including monitoring performance, learning and development, and supporting wellbeing.
  • Increase the profile of Added Value across Mind and externally, including representing Mind at relevant external events.
  • Ensure accurate data management using Mind's CRM system.
  • Ensure that all activity complies with charity legislation and that adequate systems are established to meet audit requirements.
  • To undertake other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and grade of this post.
