Every year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem. However, too many of us are not getting the help we desperately need. Growing numbers in England are on the waiting list for mental health services, whilst the number of young people struggling with their mental health has nearly doubled.
Mind has an ambitious strategy to ensure everyone experience a mental health problem gets the support and respect they deserve, with a particular focus on groups with some of the worst experiences.
The post holder will:
As Mind's Head of Safeguarding and Quality, you will lead our work to embed learning, prevent harm and ensure that we do all we can to meet our obligations and be accountable to the children and vulnerable people that we work with. This is a varied and wide-ranging role, responsible for leading Mind's Safeguarding and Quality Programme and managing a small team providing specialist guidance, support and training across all of our services, activities and operations. You will actively support the charity to fulfil its legal, statutory and regulatory requirements and work closely with staff and Trustees to enable effective oversight of quality and safeguarding at Mind.
